Blogger Play

Every time I check out the main Blogger page lately, I see this blurb in the”Blogger Buzz” about a new little toy from the creators called Blogger Play. Today being Friday, I felt like I deserved a little sidetrack before getting down to work, so I decided to check it out. And I must say, it is addicting! All does is provide a slideshow of images being uploaded by bloggers, in real time. I only watched for a few minutes, but I saw some fabulous shots. Funny, inspiring, thought-provoking. Plus, you can click on the image and it’ll take you to the blog it’s posted on, so it’s a great way to explore new blogs, too.

Below are some of the images that especially caught my eye this morning. In order from right to left, their respective blogs are: Paintings in Progress, Pensando En Ty, Pienés laukas, and Salut! C’est moi, Léon le cyclope rigolo!

By the way, my one complaint: Three-fourths of the images I really liked were from blogs not written in English! The second one is Spanish, the third is Lithuanian, and the fourth is French! Oy.

Name This Blog!

I’ve decided my blog needs a more creative and descriptive moniker than just my user name. The title “Oregongirl82″ just doesn’t seem fitting, especially being that my vocabulary and sentence structure is slightly more sophisticated than many I’ve seen. After all, I am technically a professional writer ;)

Anyway, I’ve thought about the idea for a while now and there is no doubt left in my mind that “Oregongirl82″ is sufficient as a username, but the blog itself deserves an original, unique, and preferably somewhat related designation.

Here are my various nicknames, preferences, favorite things, obsessions, etc., that I’ve considered including: Kotryna, Katiebug, Grammar Nazi, Green Princess, Herself, shoes, A Stor Mo Chroi, butterflies, Ireland, writing/editing, photography, design, green/blue, music … and probably more that I’ll think of as soon as I post this ;)

So … anyone have any brilliant suggestions? Please?!?

Apparently Marc Jacobs is in cahoots with the medical industry … they all want our money. We buy Marc’s insane new shoes, break our ankles wearing them, then pay absurd medical bills for the emergency room visits, surgeries, painkillers, etc.

Because really, who could resist these unusually eye-catching pumps? Yet who could walk in them? Truly, they look dangerous in so many ways ;)
