I have to admit, the environment has never been a top priority for me. So it is a challenge to sit back and think about what to write for this blog. But I still want to do my part to contribute to the day.
Thus I must consider … what can I do for Mother Earth? What do I already do? Well … I recycle. I feel horrible if I throw plastic bottles pop cans in the trash instead of a recycling bin (although I think that’s partially intrinsic for an Oregonian, too). I also have a basket next to my next (at home and work) to recycle paper instead of throwing it away.
Hmmm what else? Well, I try to fit all my errands in one trip to cut down on gas, and turn off lights when they’re not being used, and things like that … honestly I’m more concerned about saving money but it helps the environment, too, right?
Oh, and I’m a strong supporter of thrift stores, both donating and shopping
