Artwork to Enjoy

Again wandering through the “Blogs of Note”, I discovered another fellow blogger to share. Élena Nazzaro (a.k.a. the french toast girl) is an illustrator and watercolorist with a reguarly updated blog, a gallery of her artwork, (I LOVE the one to the right … it’s called “Searching” by Élena Nazzaro), and a store where you can buy prints of your favorites. Just $10 for an 8×10, shipping included? Count me in!

By the way, if you do check out her site, be sure to read the stories in her “Thoughts” section, especially the ones called “Car Dancing” and “Paint Me”. The first is just funny … and so true, too … and the second is quite thought-provoking and touching.

Also read the part about copyrights, and don’t steal anything from her site, or anyone else’s for that matter. I always do my best to acknowledge where the pictures come from that I post here, and I emailed Élena to ask permission when I copied her art to post on this blog.

Baby Couture

Sitting at my desk today, sporadically hitting the “next blog” button in search of something entertaining, I stumbled upon The Faux Fashionista From Malaysia. Actually, it was her blog called “How Cute is This?” that caught my eye. It featured this selection of adorable designer knock-off baby rompers by Deadly Girl Couture, available through Pink Olive Boutique.

Now, I’d never heard of the designer or the retailer before, and it’ll be at least two years before I have a need to purchase anything from their site, but these things are just so darn cute!! I just had to share them with ya’ll, and by doing so, bookmark them for myself for future reference. ;)

Just in case you can’t read the words clearly from the images, they are (left to right) “Pradada”, “Gucci Coo”, “Louis Spitton”, and “Burpberry”.
