New office space

Finally … the day has come! My company has been in the process of renovating part of our warehouse space to be an office for the few of us that work directly with the shoes, and today was move-in day. It felt so weird carrying a box with all my personal stuff out to my car, like I was leaving the company rather than moving to another office just a few miles down the road.

And things over here at our new digs aren’t completely done yet. There’s still a few loose ends to tie up, but on the whole we’re ready to go. That’s me contemplating our colorful scheme. Don’t you love that bright green wall? It’s called “Snow Cone Lime.” No joke.

But at least we got to go on a shopping spree at Ikea for our desks and chairs and such. And that’s a leather sofa just behind me, and comfy pod chairs, for our “lounge”. It’s fun. But I just noticed that poor bookcase (which I must proudly say I put together all by myself) is still empty! Therefore, I must go fill it with all sorts of shoe magazines.
